It is not just getting on an airplane and flying overseas. There is also a lot of mission work to be done in the US. There is a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes that we as Christians are not involved with and do not know, see or understand. I do know a little something of this behind the scenes work from watching, helping, and spending time in Winona, MS with Louis and Bonnie Rushmore, Jerry and Paula Bates and Betty Choate at the World Evangelism work in Winona, MS. They take a lot of orders and pack and ship books and tracts all over the world. They do the bill paying and a lot of office work. The men have to continue to study as they prepare for preaching on Sunday and Wednesday appointments, on lectures, group meetings in different areas of the US to build up the work and win souls to Christ and His church. There are also many articles written and proofed by at least 5 different people. These articles are for Gospel Gazette Online, The Voice of Truth International, Global Harvest, Gospel tracts, books, newsletters, personalized and thank you cards for all contributions for personal and work use and whatever else they need. The ladies are also busy with writing articles for different Ladies’ Christian magazines, Gospel Gazette Online, The Voice of Truth International, books and many other routine office duties. They are also busy writing and planning for ladies’ classes here and overseas, for ladies’ retreats,

Well, where do I start? I had to do a lot of thinking on this question. So, I went to my family and friends. They all said different things such as realizing that we would not always stay the same in our thinking, money matters, knowing one another better, how to deal with the sexual part of marriage, knowing my spouse and his family better and some of their background history, how to rear children, how many children we would want, unity in religion, how to prevent problems that can happen by living too close to the in-laws, communicating as adults (which we were supposed to be), more Bible study together as a family, letting the husband be the head of the home as God would have it, and having three in your marriage (God, husband and wife). There could be so many more ideas that could be mentioned, but these are a few that were suggested to me by my family and friends. I was 19 when Bob and I got married on December 29, 1967. I thought I was so in love, and there was no way I could love him any more than I did than on the day we married 45 years ago. Boy, was I ever wrong – I didn’t know anything. However, when we said our “I Do’s,” we knew it was for life. We could not go back home to dad and mom, and there was nowhere else to go, so we had

H – HARMONY of the brethren. God expects us all to get along well with one another. We are to be one as God and Christ are one (John 17:20-23). A – ADORATION for God – it is reverence. We are to revere God by putting Him first in our lives (Matthew 6:33). P – PRAY to God for friends, family, self, for the sick (spiritually and physically), the leaders of our country and many other things. The trouble with prayer is it is so much easier to talk about, but it is not easy to do. We say I will pray for these things, but we don’t take time to pray as we should (1 Thessalonians 5:17; Colossians 4:2; 1 Timothy 2:8). P – PRAISE GOD from whom all blessing flow. One of the great side effects of praise is that we begin to realize the precious nature of our relationship to God (Hebrews 13:15; 1 Peter 4:11). Y – YIELD not to temptation, for yielding is sin. One of our sins is stubbornness. Let us turn to God for help and He will help us overcome anything. God promised us a way of escape, if we look for and accept His help (1 Corinthians 10:13). N – NOT TO FORSAKE THE ASSEMBLY OF THE CHURCH. All services and Bible studies are important to worship and praise God, not just Sunday morning. We need the mid-week service for spiritual food and growth (Hebrews 10:25-26). E – EVANGELISM – the Great Commission says, “Go into all
